Project Objective
The primary objective of this project is to enhance road safety and improve traffic discipline in Sector G-13 through the construction of zebra crossings, installation of speed breakers, and placement of cat’s eyes at critical road segments. These interventions aim to minimize traffic accidents, especially in high pedestrian zones and near educational institutions, commercial areas, and intersections, ensuring a safer environment for all commuters.
Scope of Work
- Zebra Crossing Installation: Marking of pedestrian crossings at designated points using reflective thermoplastic paint for high visibility, along with the installation of pedestrian crossing signs.
- Speed Breaker Construction: Construction of standard-size asphalt/concrete speed breakers as per National Highway Authority (NHA) guidelines, placed at strategic points identified through site inspection and traffic flow analysis.
- Cat’s Eyes Installation: Fixation of solar and reflective cat’s eyes for superior night visibility. We use high-durability epoxy adhesive for strong bonding to asphalt, placing them in lane-dividing lines and before zebra crossings/speed breakers.
